Our Nursery Ethos
At St James Primary Nursery, our aim is simple: to ensure that every child feels safe, happy and inspired. We believe that the early years are the foundation of a lifelong love of learning, and our friendly staff of dedicated educators are here to help your child grow socially, emotionally and developmentally. We nurture kindness, courage and independence in all we do- building confident learners who are curious about the world around them.
We take great pride in getting to know each child as an individual and work closely with families to support their child’s development.
A Warm And Welcoming Environment
Our nursery is part of a supportive and inclusive school community built on our school values of kindness, wisdom, respect, joy and perseverance. From rich play-based activities to thoughtful early learning experiences, your child will be encouraged to explore, create and discover in a safe and exciting setting.
Learning Through Play
Explorative play is at the heart of everything we do. Through guided and free play, children develop essential skills- from communication and confidence to problem-solving and collaboration. Whether they are building, imagining, investigating or simply making new friends, learning is joyful, meaningful and tailored to each child’s pace.
