Our school motto is ‘Believing in ourselves. Believing in each other,’ which our staff and children strive to live by each day.

The children on our School Council say that 'St James is a welcoming environment where everyone can find friends really quickly. We are a Rights Respecting school where adults and children work together to prevent discrimination.'

Safer Recruitment

St James CofE Primary School is committed to safeguarding children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The school follows safer recruitment practices to protect children from risk of harm and all post holders/employees are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.  In addition - in according with recommendations from KCSIE, applicants are also subject to an online check.  For more information, please get in touch with the School Office.
