Music
‘Music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity’ The National Curriculum
Music is a special part of our day, week and year. We pride ourselves on offering a rich, inclusive musical experience from performance, to learning to play an instrument to developing an appreciation of music. In Year 4 we have a specialised music teacher, teaching whole class ukulele.
Shows and Performances
Whether it's our Nativity, our end of Year 6 show or our termly class assembly we love to sing and perform in front of our parents and families. It helps us to build our confidence and get creative!
Our Community Choir
We have a very active community choir and practice together every Thursday morning. We perform at our church services at St James and have sung at a range of charity events and school fairs. It's open to everyone who loves to sing and you can ask Mrs Moore for more details.
Haringey Music Lessons
At St James Primary we work in close partnership with Haringey Music Services. Every day we have tutors in to teach children in one to one or small group session in instruments such as the drums, guitar, violin, piano and flute. If you would like more information on how to arrange a music lesson for your child, visit Haringey Music Services
