Welcome to St James CofE Primary School

We are a warm, friendly and inclusive primary school set in the heart of Muswell Hill, next to the beautiful Highgate Woods.  We provide an outstanding education for all, which encourages and develops every child academically and socially so they can flourish confidently.  Through respect, kindness, joywisdom and perseverance, we encourage each other to engage in our world and transform our future.

We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful school.

We love reading at St James.  Our brilliant World Book Day costumes gave us a chance to talk about a wide range of authors and books we love.  It was fantastic when we did buddy reading across the school and we got to share our favourite books together.  World Book Day is important - and books are special EVERY DAY at our school!

Achievement For All

Our school is part of Haringey's pledge to raise achievement for all.

'Every child and young person in Haringey matters.  Every child and young person deserves the best life chances, especially when they face additional barriers due to ethnicity and disadvantage.   It is everyone's responsibility to make this a reality and create the equality of opportunity we want to see.'

Show Racism The Red Card

Show Racism The Red Card

We wore red to school this term to show our support for Show Racism The Red Card who are one of the UK's leading anti-racism educational charity. The majority of their work involves the delivery of educational workshops to young people and adults in schools, workplaces and at events held in football stadiums. Across the UK, they produce educational resources to challenge misconceptions, stereotypes and negative attitudes in society.

At St James, we pride ourselves in having a curriculum that reflects our school community and celebrates diversity. We want all our pupils to thrive through informed curiosity about the world and think critically about how to change the world for the better.
