Curriculum Overview

At St James Primary School, we provide an inspiring, ambitious and rich curriculum which develops knowledge, skills and curiosity to inspire a love of learning.

We follow the National Curriculum which is enriched through additional learning and cultural experiences, that are rooted in our school values of Joy, Kindness, Respect, Wisdom and Perseverance. We seek to educate the whole child in our Christian environment.

Through engaging lessons we encourage our children and support them to become successful learners, confident individulas and responsbile citizens both now and in the future.

We expect very high standards of teaching and learning and we can demonstrate a consistent record of achievement, backed by Ofsted and performance data.  Our Governors have a key role in monitoring teaching, learning and our children's rates of progress and attainment.
