School Uniform

At St James Primary School our children wear a uniform which consists of the following:

• A white polo shirt 
• A dark grey skirt, pinafore dress, shorts or trousers 
• A St James Primary School sweatshirt or cardigan*
• White or dark grey socks or tights
• Black school shoes

Most of our uniform can be bought from any large retailer such as Tesco, M&S or Asda.

* St James Primary School sweatshirts or cardigans can be bought from Braggs Clothing in North Finchley. You can order uniform direct from them via their website at www.braggschoolwear.co.uk or over the phone on 0208 445 3945 or in person at their shop at 341 Ballards Lane, North Finchley, London N12 8LJ. 

Summer Dresses

• Summer dresses can be worn in the Summer term and are red and white striped

Coats And Fleeces

St James Primary School fleeces (from Braggs) are optional and children can choose to wear their own coats to school if they would like to.

PE kit

• A school house coloured T shirt**
• Unbranded black shorts or leggings or jogging bottoms
• Plimsolls or trainers
• School fleeces, cardigans or jumpers to be worn as an outer layer if required when cold

If your child is new to St James Primary and they do not yet know their school house, please wear a plain colour T-shirt for PE until you are able to order the school house one.

Accesories

Brown, black or dark coloured hair accessories are allowed to be worn.  We also allow watches.  We do not allow smart watches or fitbits and any jewellery apart from small pair of stud earings in case it is lost or broken.

Second Hand Uniform

We always have lots of second hand uniform for any parents who would like some and regular sales are organised through school, as well as the Friends.  If you are after anything in particular or would just like to look through what we have, please let the School Office know and we can help.
