Message from the Head

Welcome to St James Primary School and the second half of the Summer term.  As always we have a huge amount planned with three classes visiting Muswell Hill synagogue and Neasden temple as part of their RE studies and wildlife workshops planned for our Year 1s and Year 3s.  We had a very exciting Do Something Different day  and are looking forward to a KS2 coding assembly and a special science assembly run by Dr Andrew Szydlo.

Our Year 4s will be visiting Hackney Empire to hear the final classical concert by Apollo music and Year 6 are taking part in a citizenship day organised by the Met Police.  In July our Year 3s are being photographed by Steve McQueen as part of the London-wide project fro the Tate Gallery and some of our Year 6s will be visiting the Science Fair at APS.

Later this term, we are very excited about welcoming our new Reception class to St James for afternoon tea.  They will have a chance to meet their teacher, see their new classroom and get to know their new classmates.

And this is a very special and exciting time for our Year 6s.  They have worked so hard this term on their SATs and are now spending time attending inductions at their new secondary schools.   On top of this they are busy rehearsing for their Year 6 leavers production.   We also look forward to our very special leavers service at St James Church on Tuesday 16th July which the whole school attends and all parents are very welcome to join us.

As always, please keep up to date with all that is going on here on the website or via the Friday newsletter and if you have any questions about anything, please pop into the School Office to ask.

Ms Carol O’Brien

To help keep our children safe, please make sure that they are supervised in the playground by an adult, before and after school.  Thank you.
