Consultation on our proposed admission arrangements 2021 – 2022 of St James C of E Primary School

The governing body of St James C of E Primary School invites you to view the proposed Admissions policy for 2021 -2022 as well as the supplementary form 2021 – 2022.

These documents are out for consultation for six weeks commencing on 17th December 2019 and will close on 31st January 2020.   We are seeking the following changes

  1. Remaining Places

The remaining places will be allocated equally between faith-based and community-based applicants up to a maximum of 15 each. If the remainder is an odd number the extra place will go to a faith-based placement. If there are insufficient faith-based applicants the remaining places will go to community-based applicants.

  1. a. Faith-based applicants allocated in the following order:

  1. Up to 10 places for St. James’ Church applicants

Children whose parents have been committed members of St. James’ Church, Muswell Hill, London N10 for more than 18 months at the time of the closing date for applications, and who are regularly* involved in worship at the church.

  1. Remaining faith-based places for Local Church applicants

Children whose parents have been committed members of, and are regularly* involved in worship at a church of a Christian denomination, which is recognized by Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CGBI) or the Evangelical Alliance within 2 miles of the school, for more than 18 months at the time of the closing date for applications, and who are regularly* involved in worship at that church.

  1. Open community-based places for all other children from the local community with any or no- faith background

Rationale to ensure that our school serves all the children in its local community

All other criteria remain the same as in previous years.   The proposed Admissions policy and supplementary form are available on our school website.  You are able to contact the school for a hard copy which you can collect or they can be posted to you.  We invite you to send any response to Estelle Addy, Chair of the Admissions Committee, St James C of E Primary School, Woodside Avenue, London N10 3JA.
